Blue Water Ramble proceeds (after operating expenses) go to cycling causes.

Clinton River Riders have given over $163,398 (as of 2025) to cycling causes over the years.

The Clinton River Riders have a proud history of not only fulfilling our mission and vision to encourage and support cycling in the community, but also donating Blue Water Ramble/CRR net after operating expenses to many cycling related charities and efforts that help the Michigan community.

Examples of recipients of our donations include:

Back Alley Bikes, Big Family of Michigan Foster Kids Program, BikeVON, Boy Scouts, Clinton River Trail, Detroit Greenways Coalition, Greenway Alliance, Harsen's Island, International Velodrome at Bloomer Park, Kids on the Go, League of American Bicyclists, League of Michigan Bicyclists (LMB), Macomb Orchard Trail (which will also maintain 2 miles of cleanups annually), Metro Freedom Trail, Mt Clemens Public Library, PEAC (Programs to Educate All Cyclists), Polly Ann Trail, St Vincent de Paul bikes for kids, Variety Club Bikes for Kids, and others (via funds, labor, mentoring, teaching, encouraging...).
